Help Promote Your Theatre Organ - Join LCTOS
Once over 250 members strong, the Long Center Theatre Organ Society is at a crossroads. If you are not a member yet, please consider joining or making a donation by going to the
Membership Information link, filling out the form and mailing it with your donation. In the coming months, LCTOS needs to decide which direction we take as we face the problems of funding the organ repair and maintenance as well as funding our future activities in Lafayette and Tippecanoe County. As with most local organizations, corporate gifts have diminished or vanished completely, and we are now relying solely on individual's memberships and donations. If you are already a member, please consider writing a letter to the editor of any of the local newspapers supporting Theatre Organ and the music community in general. Our organization is not alone in this funding dilemma, and all of the arts organizations are facing the same challenges. Please help us continue our mission of keeping Theatre Organ in Lafayette and Tippecanoe County.
LCTOS Theater Organ Performance
Since significant repairs still need to be completed on the Mighty Wurlitzer, there will only be one performance this year on Saturday, August 27, 2011 featuring Ken Double at 7:30 p.m. accompanying the silent film, The Mark of Zorro.
Would you like to help at an upcoming concert? Volunteers Needed!
Each LCTOS concert requires several volunteers to make it happen. We need ushers, ticket takers, and people to help at the sales table as well as the refreshment table. Usually requiring only an extra hour of your time and as an added bonus, you also get to enjoy the concert! If you are interested in helping the LCTOS as a volunteer, please contact Jay Mermoud.
The Central Indiana Chapter of the American Theatre Organ Society also provides opportunities for you to attend live Theatre Organ performances. Members-only performances are held quarterly, and public performances (listed below) are held regularly throughout the year.
