Wurlitzer Theatre Pipe Organ
Long Center for the Performing Arts
Lafayette, Indiana
The Long Center's Mighty Wurlitzer of 3 manuals and 21 ranks of pipes is one of the finest theatre pipe organs in the Midwest. The Wurlitzer's components were assembled and installed over a period of four years under the combined efforts of the Ken Crome Organ Company and Carlton Smith Pipe Organ Restorations. Following completion, the Long Center Organ Series was established. The instrument, with its ornate console beautifully finished in ivory and gold, is now showcased regularly in concerts featuring world renowned artists.______________________________
